Ebook Installation & Reading Instructions

Common Issues:

1. If you have ordered a book but haven't gotten the email with the download link within a few minutes, check your spam folder, the ebook file is probably there. 
2. If you click on the link on your Mac or PC and your browser opens for a few minutes and nothing happens, DON'T CLICK ON THE LINK AGAIN.  Check the "Downloads" folder of your browser, the ebook file is probably there.
3. If you lose your ebook because your computer crashes or you switch devices, you can re-download the ebook file using the link in the email.
4. If you need to convert EPUB to MOBI or MOBI to EPUB, we reccomend using Calibre http://calibre-ebook.com/ 

Accessibility & Visual Impairment

1. If you have a visual impairment or reading disability, we reccomend EasyReader to open your EPUB ebooks.

How to read an Apple iOS or OSX device (Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod)

1. If you want to read the book on your iPad/iPhone/Mac, make sure you have iBooks installed.
2. Click on the download link in the email you received from Epistemy Press on your iOS device. Safari will automatically open and you will see the "EPUB" button.
3. Click on the EPUB file and iOS will suggest that you open the ebook with iBooks. Click OK and within a few moments, the ebook will download and open itself in iBooks.

How to read an EPUB book on an Android device

1. If you want to read the book on your Android, make sure you have an ePub reader installed.
2. Here's a list of free ePub readers for Android  
3. Click on the download link in the email you received from Epistemy Press on your Android device. Your browser will automatically open and you will see the "EPUB" button.
4. Click on the EPUB file and Android will suggest that you open the ebook with one of the installed ebook reader apps. Click OK and within a few moments, the ebook will download and open itself in your ebook reader.

How to read an EPUB book on a PC

1. Download and install any free EPUB Reader for your version of Windows.
2. Click on the download link in the email you received from Epistemy Press. A browser will open and you will see the download page.
3. Download the EPUB version of the book directly onto your computer, SAVE IT TO YOUR DESKTOP and make a backup copy.
4. Be careful:  Sometimes you might download the ebook file to the download folder of your browser by accident.  Check there for a file that has a 10-digit numeral name and the suffix .epub, that's your book.
5. Open your EPUB reader and add the book to your library.
6. Open the book from the EPUB reader library.
7. You can use Ice Cream Reader, Adobe Digital Editions, Google Books, Stanza or Mobipocket for multiple operating systems and devices.

Loading a Mobi ebook to Your Kindle

To add a .mobi ebook to your Kindle via USB:

1. Click on the download link in the email you received from Epistemy Press. A browser will open and you will see the download page.
2. Download the MOBI version of the book directly onto your computer, SAVE IT TO YOUR DESKTOP and make a backup copy.
3. Turn your Kindle on and connect the Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with it.
4. Drag and drop the .mobi ebook file into the documents folder on your Kindle

The ebook should now appear in your Kindle library
