We take the protection of your private data very seriously and we treat the personal data of everybody who makes use of our site as confidential. We will never sell your data or send you marketing information unless you request it.

For instructions on how to download and install ebooks on several popular device platforms, please read this document . You must have a suitable playback device in order to use the digital products we offer. Independent of what playback device you have, special software may also be needed to use the digital products for their intended purpose. This software is not included in the contract concluded with us for digital products and it may be subject to own license and/or data protection provisions. We cannot guarantee that digital products will be usable with all playback devices.

We do not procure any ownership for you in the digital product you buy (e-book, audio file), but only grant you a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the E-Book according to the terms and conditions set forth in the License Agreement:

The License Agreement permits you to download and install the E-Book for your use only in accordance with instructions to be furnished to you by Epistemy Press. Furthermore, you understand, acknowledge and authorize Epistemy Press to digitally watermark the E-Book with your name, e-mail address and corporate affiliation in order to identify you as an Authorized User.

Restrictions. You shall not: (1) resell, rent, assign, timeshare, distribute, or transfer all or part of the E-Book or any rights granted hereunder to any other person; (2) duplicate the E-Book, except for a single backup or archival copy; (3) remove any proprietary notices, labels, or marks from the E-Book; or (4) transfer or sublicense title to the E-Book to any other party. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you may print a reasonable number of pages from the E-Book for your personal use not to exceed ten (10%) of the total content of the E-Book. Furthermore, it is understood that you may transfer and read the E-Book between devices owned by you as the Authorized User.

Intellectual Property Protection. The E-Books on this site are owned by Epistemy Press and are protected by United States and international copyright and other intellectual property laws. Epistemy Press reserves all rights in the E-Books not expressly granted herein. This license and your right to use the E-Book terminate automatically if you violate any part of this Agreement. In the event of termination, you must destroy and delete the original and all copies of the E-Book.

When digital products are downloaded, we or persons commissioned by us can individually mark them with visible and invisible digital watermarks or by adding another anti-piracy features. This makes it possible to identify whoever originally ordered the digital product and to take legal steps against that party if the digital product is misused. You are obligated to refrain from circumventing or deactivating such protection mechanisms in any way whatsoever.

Limited Warranty. Epistemy Press warrants that the files containing the E-Book, a copy of which you are authorized to download, are free from defects in the operational sense that they can be read by a standard e-book reader. EXCEPT FOR THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY, EPISTEMY PRESS MAKES AND YOU RECEIVE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR IN ANY COMMUNICATION WITH YOU, AND EPISTEMY PRESS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY OTHER WARRANTY INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. EPISTEMY PRESS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE OPERATION OF THE E-BOOK WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE. EPISTEMY PRESS MAKES NO WARRANTIES RESPECTING ANY HARM THAT MAY BE CAUSED BY THE TRANSMISSION OF A COMPUTER VIRUS, WORM, TIME BOMB, LOGIC BOMB, OR OTHER SUCH COMPUTER PROGRAM. EPISTEMY PRESS FURTHER EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY OR REPRESENTATION TO AUTHORIZED USERS OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY. If the E-Book was licensed in the United States, the above exclusions may not apply to you as some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In addition to the above warranty rights, you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Limitation of Liability. IN NO EVENT WILL EPISTEMY PRESS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, WHETHER ARISING FROM TORT OR CONTRACT, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOST PROFITS, OR OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE E-BOOK.

There is no right to return goods that are not suitable to be returned, such as downloaded digital products (ebooks).
